The artist Mary-Audrey Ramirez (born 1990 in Luxembourg) sews sometimes larger-than-life, threatening-looking animals and fearsome creatures from various fabrics and materials. The black scorpion in the exhibition buries a small human figure under its huge body. She is deadly, mystical and erotic at the same time. Ramirez plays and breaks with traditional gender attributions. Her monstrous fantasy creatures stand for human traits, they are an expression of desires and fears.
